Nucomat

For the machine builder Nucomat (www.nucomat.be), a FlexiBowl with an LS-series SCARA robot was supplied for the development of a new generation of reagent test tube filling machines.



Using in-line vision analysis, the system sorts individual tubes from a bulk supply. After picking and transferring the tubes in the correct orientation, the machine automatically fills and seals them for later use in mobile test laboratories. The system sorts and fills thousands of tubes per working day, with minimal operator intervention.



Nucomat’s end customer is active in veterinary care for large livestock, for which Nucomat has developed mobile test laboratories that are used during farm visits. As the number of tests performed increased significantly, there was a need for an automated solution to prepare the reagent test tubes.
